Self-Paced High School History 1: The Ancient World

Classical Track

This history class surveys the events, ideas, and culture of ancient civilizations of the world, from the Fertile Crescent in the third millennium BCE to the Roman Tetrarchy in 300 CE. The class primarily focuses on the development of Western Civilization, with forays into the Far East. Shaped to pair well with Lit 1. This class is intended for 9th and 10th graders and ambitious 8th graders (but all are welcome!). 

 For this self-paced class

• Students have access to recorded lectures from their course.

• Students will not have live classes or teacher support.

• All recordings will be available from September 2 thru the end of August.

• Primary sources will be given as online links in the weekly reading assignments pages.
