How WriteAtHome History and Social Studies Works

WriteAtHome exists to support families by helping students reach their writing potential and develop a love for literature, language, and history.

Our live ($579) or self-paced ($249) annual history courses are offered for grades 6-12.

We also have semester high school economics and government classes in live ($299) and self-paced ($149) versions.

Our APPROACH:

Our History 1-4 courses pair with our Lit 1-4 courses, providing students with a great overview of literature and history from each era (Classical Track). Classical track history courses are only offered as self-paced classes.
We also offer history courses that provide a flow similar to what students would study in a typical high school (Conventional Track). For middle schoolers, we offer an American History course. Conventional track high school and middle school history courses are offered as live and self-paced classes.

Studying history is not just rehashing the past. Students will be challenged to involve their logic and imagination, to distinguish cause and effect, to clarify motivation and action, and to discern ideas and events in history. Meet your teacher, Mike Napier, HERE.

Our EXPECTATIONS:

Students are given a reading assignment, a recorded lecture, a discussion post, and a quiz to complete each week prior to the live discussion with the teacher.

Our DELIVERY:

Our live history courses include a weekly session via Zoom to discuss the week’s lesson with the teacher. Our self-paced history courses do not include the live component.
